  1. Only if you want your washer to dance around your kitchen and the sheets to come out with soil streaks.  It is costly to go to a launder-mat but in the long run it is better to use an oversized washer and dryer, they have the room to agitate and come out clean or wash separately if a top loader.  As another person stated, they need lots of room to move around. And, don't wash the comforter too often, it gets bulky in places and flat in others.  If you can line dry it all the better.

  2. I wouldn't stuff them together in the washer - the comforter needs all the room it can get because it's not as flexible as the sheets.  And watch out putting that comforter in the dryer - it doesn't move around well and can scorch a spot on it!  First of all, read the washing instructions on the tag, too.  Good luck!

  3. nahhh...it can make your washer unbalanced and work too hard

don't be lazy...do it in two loads...you can even throw in a few towels with your sheets

  4. You could probably fit them, but I don't suggest it. I always wash our comforters by themselves, separate from one another. This ensures that they are getting as clean as possible, and as someone else already said, it doesn't throw the balance off so much either.

You never want to stuff your washer full when doing laundry. You will find that a lot of dirt and nasty stuff gets trapped in the folds of the clothing/bedding, and you will have to wash them repeatedly instead of just once. Don't over-do it - just wash them separately.

  5. i'd take the comforter and sheets to the laundromat. it's a safer bet than possibly breaking the washing machine.

  6. You do not say whether it is a front loader or top loader. If it is a top load you do not want it too twisted around the agitator.  Try putting it in (I take it you mean a comforter) on it's own and do not push it down hard and if there is still some room in the machine it should be OK.  When it gets wet there will be more room.  I would not put the sheets in as well.
