okay about 2 weeks ago i went on a water ride with my phone and i got soaked [i dont have to be told how stupid that was cause i know nd theres a whole long story behind why i went on anyway] well wen i 1st got off it was going crazy just dialing random numbers. then i took the battery out for a little while and when i put it back in it said something about s/w upgrade i dont remember exactly and i couldnt press buttons so i took the battery out and put it back in and didnt turn my phone on and the next morning i turned it on and it said carkit mode. so i took the battery out and put it in and it showed me the upgrade thing then i took out the battery nd left it out 4 like 10 mins and it went on and it only goes into car kit when its on charge.

i accidemtly took out the battery before and when i put it back in its sawing s/w upgrade then below it says "cannot answeer calls while in s/w upgrade"

and th e0852 buttons dont work. and i need those ubuttons lmoao they are in my area code and my picture lock code! is there anyway i can fix this. i cant get a phone till my upgrade in july `09 && i know 4 fact my parents wont buy me one before that

btw sorry 4 alotta typos my keyboards kinda messed up

  1. Take out the battery and open everything up.  Place the telephone on a table and rig a table or desk lamp with a 60 watt light bulb in it so that the telephone is about six inches away from the bulb.  Turn the lamp on and forget about the whole thing for a couple of days, perhaps a week.  With luck, the heat and just leaving the phone alone will gradually evaporate the water out of the thing.

If it doesn't, see if you can find some 91% rubbing alcohol at the drug store.  Take the bottle of alcohol and pour it into the phone--that is, into every opening you can find.  Don't worry; the stuff won't hurt the phone.  Then repeat the light-bulb procedure.  The alcohol absorbs water and makes it easier to evaporate.
