  1. Yes. But I'd advice to take your birth certificate with you just to be safe, along with your ssn card.   When leaving Puerto Rico, the INS personell are all from the States and English speaking, so you will have no problems, like sometimes happens in other countries.

  2. No, but your birth certificate will be accepted if you are a U.S. citizen. You can also go to DMV and explain the problem, they may be able to help, it's worth a try. Airports only accept state (example:driver's license) and federal (example:military) IDs.

If you do not have a birth certificate handy and you are a U.S. citizen:

There's a company, I think it's called Vitec, which they claim will get your birth certificate overnight to your front door. Of course it will cost you and arm and a leg but if you really want to go, then that's another option. I have never used their services, so I don't know if what they allege is true. Always check out a company which offers services with the Better Business Bureau's website for any claims against it BEFORE you engage in business with them.

Good luck, hope you can resolve your problem.

  3. yes, as long as it has a accurate date of proving that u are a present student and the id needs to have a photo, take other documents with u that proves ur US citizenship, if u are an exchanged student or are temporarily a US student from a foreign country, i do recommend a passport.
