I am going to england from ireland at the end of september, flying with ryanair. My passport expired in july, but i have a full valid drivers license. The website says i can fly if i check in at the airport, but people have been telling me, through experience that i do need a passport! Does anyone know the truth?? Also, can a 5 year old check in on-line when flying to England with ryanair if holding a valid passport?

  1. No.  You need a passport.

  2. I would call the airlines and ask them this question

  3. Get a new passport. Travelling without a passport is looking for trouble.

  4. If your passport expired in July and you are not flying until the end of September, you have time to get your passport renewed. If you are not a citizen of Ireland, visit your embassy and get it resolved immediately. (This frankly sounds like something only an American would ask.)

Check with the airline about online check-in for minors.

  5. you may want to pay the fee and get a new passport

if it was me i wouldnt fly anywhere without one it may cause trouble somewhere and you may be stuck so better safe then sorry

  6. ask the airlines
