Can i further degree in accountancy if i dont do maths in my a levels subject?

will it be fine if im only taking economics,business and acc in my a level?if there any universities set a requirement to MUST have maths?

  1. The university I am studying in NZ requires the students to take two compulsory Maths courses for the completion of the degree. All that is needed from high school is basic maths. So, it is not compulsory to take Maths in A Levels (but this depends completely on the requirements set out by the university that you plan to attend. FIND OUT first before deciding to drop Maths). However, a friend who did A Lvl Maths and currently majoring in Acc thinks it is HIGHLY recommended. In my opinion, it is essential to have a Maths background. So, YES - go for it! =)


  2. nope.. accounting deals mostly with numbers and computations.. it is mandatory that you are familiar with mathematics.
