I currently don't have sky but i am wanting to get it. I live with my mum and she says she doesn't mind as long as the box is in my room. My home is all on the one level (no upstairs). I currently have digital tv and the aerial is connected from the living room to my room (i can watch what i want and my mum can watch what she wants). Will i be able to have the main Sky box in my room? Will some wires need to connect to the living room? There is also a working phone line near my room aswell. Thanks for taking the time to answer in advance. X

  1. You can have the main sky box in your room no problem. If your mum wants sky downstairs then she will need an additional box, it's cheaper to do this by getting Sky multi-room. You get two boxes and both can choose what to watch without affecting the others viewing.

You only pay one subscription cost plus £10 month for additional box.

If you just want Sky for you, then a single box in your room is fine, and sky will do this for you.

  2. As long as you have the Sky boxes connected to same phone line you can put the sky box where ever you want.
