I am applying for UK passport, i have birth certificate in house but does not include my parents, i have never had one that did have my parents on it. My parents did not receive it when i was born, they thought they only got the one that i did.

Can i still get a passport with my certificate that only shows where i was born, etc..

  1. contact the registry office where your birth was registered they will be able to provide you with a copy with all the details on.

  2. check with the passport office.they will tell you what to do

  3. yes

  4. I'm pretty sure you must be able to, since when we had our kids registered we had to pay for the full certificate.  They only give the short one out for free.

  5. erm im fairly sure you can! Although i dont have a passport myself so i wouldnt go off my answer! Your best ringing someone to ask!

  6. Yes you can, I would still get a copy of your full birth certificate for future reference though. You can get a full certificate from the registry office where your birth was registered in the first place or you can order one online from the General Registry Office (www.gro.gov.uk). A full one will only cost £7 so it's worth doing. Good luck in sorting out your passport and Have a good holiday!!

  7. Just apply for a copy of your birth certificate at your local registry office. It's easy to do. :-)

  8. It should be ok but you can get a new birth certificate issued to you from your local registry office
