Can i get a credit card with no income (canada)?

which credit card company in canada will offer credit card to collage student with no income? i want to buy/sell something on ebay and i need a credit card to do that.

Just get a debit card from your bank when you open a checking account.

There is no way you will get a credit card with no income in the US these days. Maybe in Canada, but why start borrowing money & get stuck in that trap of them always raising your interest rate?

you can get a prepaid and that also helps with your credit i have bad credit and my husband and i went and got me a prepaid card and i had to make payments on the card and it took my credit from bad to good.

In Canada, you can secured credit cards from Home Trust  Visa and Horizon Plus Mastercard. You have to make cash deposit and they will issue you credit cards for same amount.

If you have no income you don't want a credit card.

You have to pay the money back pretty much whenever you spend it, and you will have to file for bankruptcy and that is just bad!

try capital one, or use somebody else's credit card and give them the money

edit:  oh yeah, you can also get a much music credit card, it's prepaid, so it's easy to get, but it has hidden fees (read the small print)

Most won't... if you have no income they won't know if you can pay back any credit you use.

See if one of your parents can co-sign for one with a very small limit.
