Can i get a driving with a suspended license ticket dismissed?

I was involved in an accident that wasnt my fault, were i was notified and given a ticket fro driving with a suspended liscense . I didnt know my license was suspended because i had payed my ticket with in the alloted time frame. I did a 30 day extension on the ticket and then i paid the ticket well before the effective date of suspenion.Also i called the florida highway patrol customer service and they saw in the computer system that i had payed my ticket before the effective date and that i shouldnt have been suspended. They allso told me that since i paid my ticket before that date i do not have to pay any reinstatement fees. And i went to the DMV the day after my ticket and everything was taken care of without charge. So how can my licesne be suspnede for i ticket i paid before the my driving right should have been taken from me? So shoulould I take the driving class class and pay the ticket or take this to court and fight it(if i take this to court and lose it could be pay$500

take it to court.. they expect people not to go thru the "inconvenience" of fighting the ticket... I have had my share of tickets, more than the average person. I won't pay them a dime, I have had many dismissed, many when i was very guilty, the rest I go sit in jail for the weekend. they  usually let me out after one night due to overcrowding. My view is they can feed me and i can get some much needed rest away from my kids and husband....Ya their that bad!

If everything you've said is completely true you should go to traffic court. If indeed the highway patrol said you should not have been suspended I'm sure the judge will dismiss it but keep in mind, he's not going to dismiss it because of hearsay, the DMV said..., he will dismiss it because that being said must mean that when he checks he will find that your license should have been valid.

the only problem I can see is if a notice about the suspension had been recieved by you and you procrastinated about checking into it. If you'd been told you were suspended, then right or wrong you should just pay the ticket and go to traffic school.
