Can i get a hardship license in mississippi?

i need a hardship license because i need to work and i am 15. So i only have a permit, but i want to work in the summer

  1. In most states, it's very difficult to get a hardship license.  You say you "need" to work.  You would have to prove:

    1.  that you need this job in order to support yourself, i.e., your parents don't have enough money

    2.  there is no other way of getting to work, because there is no public transportation and no one else in your house drives.  

    If your parents have money to support you, most likely you aren't eligible.


  2. I think so. My friend lives in Madison and she got one at 14.

    Call the DMV (probably the one on Woodrow Wilson, if you live in or near Jackson) and they'll be able to tell you.
