  1. You can apply for a joint card through almost any regular credit card company.  If you both have good credit, I would look at the Discover More Card and American Express Blue card.

If you don't have good credit or haven't established a credit history, you may have to look for a prepaid card to start with.

  2. Think twice..

If things go wrong between you and your partner....who gets lumbered with the debt..?

If one can't pay it, the card company will chase the one who can.

    50/50 split..yeah riiight..You buy a toaster for a tenner....the partner buys a £2000 Tv set.

    And vice versa..

  3. I would try your own bank or credit union first then you can always apply on line jointly to Capital One, Chase, Washington Mutual, Discover or any of the vast others out there.

As long as you both meet the minimum guidelines of the banks you should not have a problem getting a joint card.

  4. You can get one. There will need to be the main card holder and then you can add a name to the account. My mum used to do that for me when I turn 18 for emergencies! We had an egg card. You will need to shop around though!

I also have a joint current account and credit card, both with the same bank and off the same account, with my partner.

  5. You cant get a joint one as such, but any card will let you have an additional card holder.
