  1. I recall a TV news piece last year that said that pocket bikes are not street legal in any state.  I think they said it was because they are so close to the ground that they first realization that a Hummer driver knew they were sharing the road with one would be the crunching and screams under their back tires.  Lloyds of London might write you an insurance policy for a few thousand a month, but I don't think you'd ever be able to register it.

It probably is LOTs of fun to go 70 with your chin nearly touching the pavement, but any time I'm sharing the road with muti-ton fire-breathing monsters, I'm gonna wear full leathers, helmet, gloves and boots.

Do like the lady said--get a moped or scooter (if you've got good roads) or a small motorcycle.  My first set of wheels was a '57 Lambretta 150 and it would go 52 on a good day, and got 80-90MPG.  I now live in the Southwest where the weather and roads are excellent, so needless to say there are many motorcycles.  The newer Japanese scooters are quiet, clean and efficient.   I see many of them near the university campus, which means they are a very good form of affordable urban transportation.

  2. I own that exact bike. Technically, it is classified as a scooter since it is 110cc. however, It is a good toy, but not good for commuting. It is made by a chinese company and is hard to get title because it has no manufacturer, vin number, or any other information needed to register it. besides, quality is kinda cheap and it wont last if you use it for that purpose. look into getting small motorcycle, like the kawasaki ninja 250, you should be able to get a decent used one online for about 2,000. this will last you years.
