Can i get a math teacher certification in new jersey without math education major, math major, or math minor?

  1. You need to have at least the equivalent (usually slightly more) of a minor in the subject you plan to teach. This is due to federal requirements for No Child Left Behind. You might be able to get hired to teach on an emergency basis, but you probably don't have exactly the right courses for regular teacher certification.
