Can i get a pool?

Ok, heres the deal, my mom and me want a pool but my dad says we can't get one because theres not room. This doesnt make sense to me since we have 2 acres. Also he says we would have to heat the pool because it doesnt have direct sunlight. He says it would be like 650 dollars a month. Do you think my dad just doesnt want a pool or all his statements are based truthfully?

I don't know about the land, but pools are expensive and can be difficult to maintain. I don't have one of my own, but I've worked at pools and to have one of my own would be more trouble than it's worth.

1st questions is who's paying the bills...if it is your dad it doesn't matter what we think on here...it matters what he thinks.  AND yes it is extremely expensive to heat a pool, you don't have to heat it but it does make it much more comfortable, not to mention the water cost, chemicals to maintain it, cleaning service, yada yada yada...as far as the room needed sounds to me like he doesn't want one...if it were me I would just tell you that...like I said if he's paying the bills, its his call.

we live in the uk and have an outdoor pool and as long as it has a solar cover it does not need to be heated
