  1. if your hamster cant escape...

    go right ahead! =)

  2. i would not. rabbit cages have holes where your hamster can get out of but it also depends if you are getting a Dwarf hamster or not :)

  3. I have friends who did that and it worked fine! Go ahead!

  4. NOOOO!!! the wholes and the gape in the cages are to big, i have a hamster in a savic cage, there only dwarfs, and they can nearly escape through that, remember hamster can flatten their ribs to get through small spaces.

  5. Yeah, just make sure that the gaps between the metal bars aren't too big so the hamsters cant crawl out.

  6. It's america!!! of corse you can!!

  7. Keep in mind hamsters are excellent chewers and will chew through anything...what breed are they? Syrian hamsters will fight to the death if you put two together but dwarfs get on very well together are they M/M M/F F/F? two males will more than likely fight (unless they are litter mates but even then you cant guarantee..) a male and a female....no need to even explain but you may end up buying tens of hamster cages but two girls will get along famously (except syrians of course) I would just play it safe and buy two separate cages.

    Hope this helped :)

  8. it might be intimidating to them.. as long as you have a little hammy house he shouldnt get too scared, however the bars- he might squeeze through them.

  9. No, rabbit cages can be dangerous.  Hampsters are sneakier and a lot more flexible than they seem and can end up getting lose or seriously injured. They actually have pretty cool hampster cages that can hold multiple hampsters ... you can even add tubing and toys for the hampsters to play on. Don't get a rabbit cage....and always keep your hampster cage locked when you get it, mine escaped when I was little and we had to chase them down.

  10. you can... but as my opinion bird cages work just as well and they tend to be cheaper! But if you need to put a divider down the middle go for the rabbit cage :)

  11. Rabbit cages tend to have wider gaps and it would seem to me that your hamsters would get out. But if the gaps arent present then why not. Y are you seperating the hamsters? If they dont get allong or are opposite s*x thats fine but if not then keep them together, they will be fine.

  12. sure

  13. free country...

  14. NO, rabbit cages are designed with more gaps between the wires, so your hamsters will make their great escape in a jiffy.

Always go for cages specifically designed fo hamsters since the wires (in barred cages) are narrow so that hamsters cannot escape, they come with two tiers for hamsters to play and most cages come with a default exercise wheel, feeding dish, hamster water bottle and tunnels so you are spared the extra expense of buying all of them separately.

Some very popular cages are Habitrail and Crittertrail, you can google them out to get an idea of the cost and looks.

  15. yes, but make sure they cant squeese through the mesh depending on the sought of rabbit cage you buy. or if your hamsters are both of the same s*x then why not put them in together. better company for each other.

  16. You can pretty much put anything in any kind of cage, that it would generally fit in!

  17. I wouldnt! I suggest a fish aquarium I have had several hammies and that is the only safe way I have found to keep them from escaping!! Plus they are cheaper!!!

  18. i wouldn't... the only rabbitt cages i have seen have holes on the side too big for hamsters... they could climb right out

  19. Yeah! Why not! As long as the openings and hole in the cage arent too big enough that the hamsters and fall threw or get stuck on!

Also, if you're thinking of using a divider, make sure its nothing they can chew threw! :]

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  20. sure u can.
