Can i get a upgrade without my cell phone?

Question

Okay so i had a phone with a plan and 2 year contract and everything but i lost my phone in a cave. My contract would end in december but could i get an early upgrade even if i don't have my phone anymore.

Also since it's on the family plan, can i buy a phone online and add it to my family's plan?

i don't see why you need to have your phone to upgrade, you need to tell them you don't have the previous phone.  if im not mistaken, verizon doesnt use sim cards...i would still let them know so they can deactivate the old one

you don't need your cellphone to do the upgrade :)

verizon secondary lines cannot do early upgrades.... their regular upgrades are every 20 months.... so you got in december right? so probably you are already eligible for the upgrade :D

the only problen with losing a phone is that your phone book won't be retrieved unless you had back-up assistant (a service that saves your phonebook)
