Can i get arrested for perjury on youtube?

If you give testimony under oath than contradict in Utube, you could be charged with perjury. However, the DA would have to prove that your statement on Utube was truthful and counter to your testimony. If you lie on Utube, you committed no crime.

No one takes anything on youtube seriously enough to claim perjury anyway.

Nope. Perjury only occurs when you sign something, like an official document and input false information, or lie after being sworn into testify. And even if you were sworn in and lied in a court of law, it's very RARELY charged. Everyone from Police Officers to Witnesses to Victims have lied on the witness stand and have not been charged with perjury.

Do you mean you're going to be arrested for perjury, and you want to know if video of it can be shown on youtube? The answer to that would be yes.

Or are you asking if you would somehow be protected from arrest if your committing perjury was shown on youtube? Uh, no.

Or are you concerned about being arrested for being shown on youtube saying something untrue? I don't really recommend lying (any more that I would recommend trying to get oneself on youtube) but youtube ain't court. Don't worry.

Unless the authorities care so much about copying things on youtube that they will track your IP address and arrest you.

No, its like putting songs from Itunes onto myspace. they just shut the video down.
