  1. as long as you know how to brush your teeth properly,          use floss, and use mouthwash, you don't smell bad breath. you can have a  professional cleaning at least twice per year.

Yes,  There are about 330 different type of bacteria in our mouth.  ABout every twelve hours if every space in your mouth is not perfectly cleaned then the minerals in your mouth will harden around the teeth and trap the bacteria.  The bad breath comes from the sulfur acid that is released when the bacteria eliminate their waste.  The only way to remove this harden bacteria is by perfessional cleaning.  Now depending on how bad your gum health is will determine how often to visit the dentist.  The average healthy adult every six months.  If there is disease tissue every three months.

    Just remeber the majority of bacteria sits on your tongue. so don't forget to brush your tongue.
