Can i get contacts the same day my doctor perscribes them to me?

hi im getting contacts and i really want them that day ususally my mom orders hers i guess and go2 coscto to pick them up so i think it'll b the same w/me. so do u think i could get them the same day i go to the doctor?

This really depends on your prescription.  I have never been able to get mine the same day.  My prescription is plano with an uncommon axis for astigmatism.  The doctor had never had them in stock.  It even takes a while to receive them online as well so I usually order a few boxes.

it just depends on your eye...some people have to have a special order...like people with astigmatisms usually have to get them special order....it's just depends on your persription...and if they have them or not but every dr. I've bin to gave me my sample pairs...and they teach you how to take care of them and everything....putting them in and taking them out..

The doctor will most likely give you a sample/take home pair.  They even sell them in the Drs. office.  One pair should last you for a couple of weeks, unless you have problems.  So yes, you will most likely have them the same day you go to the doctor.

go to one of the big opticians like spec savers or vision express etc and you'll have them the same day for a weeks trial
