  2. It depends on whether the Associated degree is recognised by the CPA board. Is it Major in accounting?

  3. The short answer is no. You do not meet the minimum requirments in order to sit for the CPA exam. The educational requirements for GA are:

    "Have earned a baccalaureate degree with a concentration in accounting which is defined by the Board as 20 semester hours or 30 quarter hours in accounting subjects above the elementary level at a four year accredited college or university that offers a baccalaureate degree. Educational requirements must be met at the time of application."

    That does not mean that you cannot become an accountant, just not a licensed CPA until you have more education.
