Can i get dish network if i stil have Direct Tv??

Question

i was wondering was it possible for me to get dish network if i still have direct tv...but the service was cut off because my parents went so long without paying the bill till it got so high that they couldnt pay it to get the service restored. but we still have the satelite and the dvr boxes from direct tv and stuff so i was wondering was it possible for us to get dish network..would they take the direct tv satelite down or would they use the same one for dish network??

You can get dish, but you will need to get all new equipment. You can't use the directv stuff for dish service. Either way, like directv, they will give you equipment.
