Can i get hepitits c or any other disease by touching something they have touch before?

i recently moved into my home, i was pulling carpets taking some personal items they let behind and other things out, well i have a open cut on the top of my head and i was scratching my head after i had touched everything, and i wasn't thinking anything about it. well later down the week a neighbor tells me that the lady who lived there a couple of weeks ago before me had hepatitis c and other diseases, i am wondering if it is possible if i could have caught anything by touching those things then scratching my wound. please anyone with any information please let me know asap

  2. you might want to go visit a doctor and ask them. they would be more experienced with answering this question.

    good luck :)

  3. hep c is not an STD. been married for 2 decades and my spouse has not contracted it from me.

  4. If you are that worried about it contact your doctor.  it is not likely but it is possible.  some blood born patogens can live for awhile outside of the body.  It depends on how long the house was empty.

  5. Hep C NO..That is rarely transfered through unprotected s*x..It's mainly and almost always transfered through blood on blood contact..So no you will not contract Hep through everyday contact with something

  6. You have to swap bodily fluids...

Meaning, you need to get his blood in you.

You can't even get it from saliva...

You need to be "Injected" with his bodily fluids... Be it through blood or s*x or injecting drugs... but no... You could use his toothbrush and not get Hepatitis.

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne infectious disease that is caused by the Hepatitis C virus (HCV), affecting the liver.[1] The infection is often asymptomatic, but once established, chronic infection can cause inflammation of the liver (chronic hepatitis). This condition can progress to scarring of the liver (fibrosis), and advanced scarring (cirrhosis). In some cases, those with cirrhosis will go on to develop liver failure or other complications of cirrhosis, including liver cancer.

    ๑ ๑ ๑ ๑ The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact.  ÃƒÂ Ã‚¹Â‘ ๑ ๑ ๑

No vaccine against hepatitis C is available. The symptoms of infection can be medically managed, and a proportion of patients can be cleared of the virus by a course of anti-viral medicines. Although early medical intervention is helpful, people with HCV infection can experience mild symptoms, and consequently do not seek treatment.[1] An estimated 150-200 million people worldwide are infected with hepatitis C.

    Hepatitis C (originally "non-A non-B hepatitis") is one of five known hepatitis viruses: A, B, C, D, and E.
