  1. Once your 18 she is no longer responsible for you.

She can't call the police, the only thing she could call them on is being a runaway and that is only when your a minor.

However, if and when you move out you think your Mom will cause trouble you call the police so they can stand there why you haul your stuff out of her house.  Make sure you have it all packed and ready to go and your bf has a rental truck so nothing is left behind. They only do this one time and if you 'forget' something they won't go back a second time with you.

  2. You are an adult at 18 and can live anywhere that you want. If your mom does call the police there is nothing that they can do.

  3. there is nothing your mother can do.

you are an adult and she can't stop you.

  4. you're an adult at 18, you can move out whenever you want.

The only thing she could get the police on you about is theft.  DO NOT take anything that is not yours/that you haven't personally paid for or that she hasn't given you permission to take.

If she is dead set against you moving in with a BF, I can see how a vindictive or controlling parent would try to prosecute you for taking furniture.

If she's not that bad then *tell her what is happening and just go*--do understand, if you were counting on your parents to pay for college, then that is over.  If you are ready to live your life as an adult and be responsible for yourself then you lose the privlige of parental monetary support--that is fair and not vindictive or controlling.

  5. You are an adult at the age of 18 and even if your mother was to get the police involved, there is nothing they can do to stop you from moving out of her house.
