being at the scene of an arson crime....ok so heres how it goes....My idiotics friends decided to light a firework off on some kids car and we had a driver and about 5 people. 2 people went up the rest stayed in the car including me. So i actually didnt cause the firework/arson nonesense. Things panned out and somebody ratted and now the 2 kids that did the fireworking are going to confess because the popos are coming at them hard. So im thinking these kids may try to say we all did including me. So is their anyway possible i can get in any legal trouble for this. I feel like i was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

  1. you are just as guilty as the two guys because you were there when a crime was committed and never reported it.you are just as guilty as the person who lit the match.

    -----------retired texas deputy sheriff-----------

  2. You could be charged with the actual crime or conspiracy, depending on the state.  In the future, don't confess crimes in writing on the internet.  Your above statement is evidence for the prosecution.

  3. Yes you were involved in an illegal act. Like if you go with your friends on a bank robbery and don't bring a gun or take any money yourself your still guilty.

  4. You were present and therefore you are guilty by association. You can (but not likely) get in just as much trouble as the idiots that lit the fireworks on the car.
