Can i get insured on a car for a week or two?

im a provisional lisence holder, im 17

i want to get insured as a second driver on my dads car so i can be taken out in it legally on the roads to get extra practice before a test but i would only want to be insured on the car for a week or two

is this possible?

Yes, just need to phone up the insurance supplier (dads) and get them to deal with it.

Yes it is, just ask to be put in shortly before you're going to test, and take yourself off afterwards. Yor dad will have to pay the pro-rated charge for the month of having you on it.

Yes its possible, but I think most insurance is for 28 day periods.

You just need to get your dad to phone up his insurance company because it is his policy and ask them to put you as a named driver. The problem is it might cost more to be on it for one or two weeks than for the whole year. They will tell you when you ring.
