  1. your gpa and sat is bit below average, but mention your published article in your essay, that might make up for the below average. You might also want retake sat II math.AP exam scores wont matter for admission, it is only used for college credit.Good luck`

  2. Yes to USC, iffy on UCLA.  Retake the math.  If you don't have a number of AP classes, forget UCLA.  It's just too competitive.

  3. UCLA - admission is pretty random. There are people that get in with less that what you have. It's a State school so they kinda mix it up a bit. Also there is Affirmative Action involve. Not getting into the political side, AA, is suppose to let people who come from school systems that are not as nice as the others to have an opportunity at a College education as well. Probably want to highlight the medical journal stuff & volunteer work in your essay. GPA is okay but a lot of people have 3.9 & above that is going to be applying I am sure.

USC - It would help if you know an Alumni or get a letter of recommendation from them I am sure.

  4. I don't know too much about college, but I do know that anything from 3.5 - 4.0 will get you into a very nice one.  The average score for Hebrew is 635 and for Mathamatics is 639..so you did quite well on those.  You have a pretty nice list of extra curriculars, also.  I think you should wait until your senior year to decide if you can, because your GPA could effect that if it is quite low or high.  Hope that helped...I did google what you would need to do to get into those schools, but nothing helped at all. Sorry!
