Can i get lead poisoning?????

i was painting my house today. it was a white paint and i got paint all over me after we were through. is there any chance i might get lead poisoning?

as long as the paint did not get in your mouth you wont have lead poisoning.

ZERO CHANCE PLAIN AND SIMPLE

You would need to drink 1 cup and that wouldnt be enough lead to get you sick.

Nevertheless if your paranoid, dont worry, chelation therapy removes it in a few days.

Hardly any chance from your new paint.  Architectural paint made in or imported to the US after 1978 must have <0.06% lead in the dried paint.  The level of Pb in such paint is <0.02% although there may be some elevations in anticorrosion paints with a lot of zinc.

You can get lead poisoned from old paint, but that's a different question to ask.

River is 50% correct.    Chelation SHOULD NEVER BE used except in the extreme.   Chelation itself has caused death in the past and kidney damage and failures.
