Can i get live feedback With My Sony Lightsnake USB Guitar Cable?

I recently bought a Sony USB Lightsnake Guitar/ Keyboard plug. I can record what i play just fine but is there a way i can actually use my computer as an amplifier?

  1. Some programs will do it all in one package, but what I've done is download a recording program that supports vst, assign the input to a track, then download a guitar amp vst.

    Audacity is an example of a free audio program that can support vsts, if you download the extra thingy. There is a couple versions of FA3 that are free, and sound pretty decent as guitar amp emulators. Check out

    And rummage through their vst search engine .... they've got a lot of free vsts indexed. Most are meant for synths, but there's a lot that can still be used musically with the guitar... equalizers, compressors, effects, distortion, etc etc.
