Can i get my cartilage pierced with a gun?

Question

ive looked around, and half the people said get it with the gun cause it hurts x473289 less, and half said with a needle at like a tattoo place because its smoother,? idk,.

my mom doesn't care, she said she will take me where ever, but like im 13.

what do you think is best?

and i guess i have good like ears or whatever because i double peirced my ears by myself? and i like barely cleaned them and they did not get infected, so HELP!

if you get it pierced with a gun, you end up with a bump on the back because when you go to a professional they use a hollow needle that removes the skin, whereas with the gun it just stays there and becomes the bump

Getting it with a gun does not hurt less.  It's a piece of metal being forced through your ear.  The needle is sharper therefore it'll go through without as much force.  It's also the right way to do it.  Piercing guns are so unsafe that they've been outlawed in some states.

Piercing guns cannot be properly sterilized.  The way that they clean them is by swiping them with an alcohol swab after each piercing.  Alcohol can clean it some, but it in no way sterilizes it, so it'd be like you were sharing a needle with a stranger.  What sane person does that?

Getting it done with a needle will be less painful, quicker, placed better, and much less likely to get infected.

oooh please please please do not get it done with a gun. you cannot take the gun apart to clean it, which means other people's SKIN will be getting in your piercing. it also puts much more pressure than is necessary, and since the needle is not hollow and pushed through with blunt force, you get much more damage than you should. only ever get it done at a professional studio, no exceptions. also, if you really want this you MUST take care of it properly, which means cleaning twice a day. a cartilage piercing is much more difficult to heal than your ear lobes, and it isn't unheard of for people to loose bits of their ear to badly done/taken care of piercings.

NO!!!!!  Gun's arent used fror anything other than ear lobe piercings!!  They have to use a hollow needle.  It hurts, but it would be wayway worse in the long run with a gun

DONT. it doesnt even hurt when they pierce it regular. it just feels like a pinch, and its less then a second!

The gun doesn't hurt, it only stings for a second, and it's sooo fast!! Go to Clair's!!
