Can i get my learners at 15 if im homeschooled?

ok so im starting to be homeshooled now.

im 14.

turning 15 on april 5th.

if im homeschooled, can i still get my learners at 15?

im just wondering...

i live in georgia.. soo i dont know if they're laws are that i can or cant get it...

please let me know!

  1. Yes, I also live in Georgia.

    You just have to have your Mom or Dad sign a form that states that you have completed a certain amount of hours of schoolwork this year, and that you do school on a regular basis. Also, I think you might have to be above a certain grade average, but I am not sure about that.

    Just go to your local DMV and ask them about it. They should be able to help you out.

  2. You need to bring an attendence compliance form from the school district that your parents were supposed to file with the board.  That is the only requirement.

    The Georgia homeschool law requires:

    Attendance records must be kept and submitted to the superintendent each month. The records will "not be used for any purpose except providing necessary attendance information." Ga. Code Ann. § 20-2-690(c)(6)

    To get your licensed you MUST take an approved course at a private school for driving and have 30 hours behind the wheel training (Joshua Law)

  3. In SC you can get one at 15.  I'm sure its probably the same way in GA.

  4. In the state of texas you can but a parent has to sign you up for a parent taught drivers ed class or enroll you in a driving school.
