Can i get my speakers out of my impounded car?

my car was impounded because i didnt have insurece n i dnt want the car i jus want my subwoofers,amp, and stereo i went down to get the stuff n they said i cant take any thing but personal property...what can i do?

go there early in the morning before they open and offer the guard some money

Well...if the police where you live is anything like ours you are out of luck...but if yo are quick enough you MIGHT be able to snatch the radio and get out of there. It NEVER hurts to ask nicely either...
