i "supposedly" ran a red light and this dy/<e cop gave me a ticket. i drive an acura tl and on the ticket she wrote that i drove an acura but nothing is said about a tl. ive heard of instances where if a cop doesnt fully disclose information in the ticket, its void. is this true?

oh and i live in pa.

  1. it is true that if a ticket isnt fully filled out, it is an invalid ticket, however, exact specifications are not required

example, i own a 1991 nissan stanza xe, but if i get a ticket, for it to be valid, it just needs to say 1991 nissan stanza

and as far as the DL#, if she didnt right that, its considered an invalid ticket, but i believe u have to appear in court to have that verified

  2. "Supposedly" my eye. You ran a red light. People get killed every year by red light runners. They should be shot. People who try to get out of red light tickets on flimsy items like that should be shot twice, then hung. It doesn't matter if your car is a tl, a gt, or a t&a. Calling the officer a lame name confirms your guilt, especially since you have told us no story about how you didn't commit the offence.

Own up, and pay the ticket, then please learn to drive. In the meantime, I am not going to drive to PA.

  3. If the cop got your driver license # and the license plate wrong, then you are off the hook. Otherwise, pay it up.
