  1. Well, here is the thing, when you enlist with the other branches of the U.S Military you sign what is called a DEP Contract(Delayed Entry program) What that does is, you are proscessed and are just waiting for basic training, and you do a meeting or two a month(A way for the recruiters to keep tabs on you.) If you wanted to get out you could with no consequences as long as you hadn't been to basic yet.(You would not have signed the active contract until they day you go off for basic, which then you would be locked).

However, for some reason the Army National Guard, once you sign a contract you are immediatly apart of the National Guard. Some units even allow you to drill(Work) before you go to basic.

My best advice is talk to your recruiter or commander and see what they will do.

  2. They can't do anything for you - if you've already signed the contract you are officially in the Guard.  I don't understand the rest of your question about trying to be 5 years old and normal but whatever.  Sorry girl, your stuck in your decision.  Own up to it and do it.  SHould have though more about it before hand.

  3. There's always don't ask don't tell

I don't know what kind of discharge that gets you

If you don't mind getting a dishonorable discharge, there are plenty ways to get out.

  4. Your single dad unless he has a health condition won't get you out of the service. You probably know this but you should have thought about all this before joining. If you do get out you will have to pay back whatever bonuses and schooling you got from the service. I know two ways you can get out. The first is fail drug tests, they will kick you out with a dishonorable discharge. YOu could also claim to be g*y and they will kick you out. You have to be very vocal about your gayness. You better do it soon too because they are giong to repeal dont ask dont tell and then this wont work.

  5. If you're in basic, then you're not in any luck my friend. You should have thought about that before you signed up. Your best bet is to tough it out, then be done with it. You may find your actually like it. If you haven't shipped for basic yet, than tell the recruiter that you are no longer interested. Nothing that the recruiter can do to you.

  6. At 17, u can only join the ARMY National Guard with your parents permission. See if you can change to that new program were u can go active 3 years and then national guard. I think you should go to college with the guard paying for it and then go active. you will be far from your parent on campus. If you really wanna get away, volunteer for a deployment.
