Can i get public assitance at 18 yrs old by myself ? Such as food stamps and help?

i dont have a quardian and no job but i need help and food stamps

You will have to have some kind of income to get Family Assistance..however there are different prigrams that will help you....go to Social Services in your town and check it out.

I was 8 months pregant..due any day so I quit my job..coulnd't get any help becaue i didn't have a job....

Yes you can. Go to the Community Based Services Dept. and apply for them they can also help you with other stuff.

you could get food stamps but not a check because you have no children. Even for food stamps they will make you search for work. If you are 18 you are an adult and able to fill out paper work for it. But you really need to get a job and support yourself without asking for handouts. Look at food stamps as a temporary help. everyone needs help sometimes but to be a lifer is wrong.
