  1. it is possible to get rabbies from a cat bite, but only if the cat has rabbies.  Most likely your cat doesn't have them, kittens have their mother's immunities for the first three months of life.  It is also unlikely that your cat has been exposed to it.  If it makes you feel better call your doctor.

  2. you can get rabbies with a bite or scratch, BUT only if the animal is infected.

  3. She doesn't have rabies; cat bites often get infected, but I wouldn't worry about rabies.

No doubt her mother had rabies shots.  Even if she didn't, so many cats and dogs are vaccinated that rabies has become very rare.  If there were active rabies in your community, you would probably have heard about it.  They generally put it on the news if an animal is even suspected of having rabies.

So rest easy; but take good care of the bite so it doesn't get infected.

  4. ONLY if the Cat has Rabies itself... In your Kittens case, I DOUBT that's likely- because she's too young to have caught it from any one... So don't worry about it (and try to be alittle more Careful. Kittens DO bite- because they don't know any better, yet!).
