  1. I suggest you purchasing  Mr cleans sponges there 2 in a pack and they take off anything from anywhere,It is called

    Mr.Clean Magic eraser.

There like no more than 3.00 for a 2 pack.

  2. Isopropyl alcohol....aka rubbing alcohol

  3. ammonia

  4. No. Sharpies don't come off of anything except skin, but it takes awhile. You could try to use spays but if you want to keep a nice hardwood floor don't use anything on it. Try putting a rug over it. It will still look nice, and no one will see the sharpie =)

  5. I got it off of my wooden kitchen table with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, BUT it was only a bunch of dots, I scrubbed it to death, and their ghosts are still visible and the finish isn't quite as glossy. I'm living with it on an old coffee table that I don't much care for anyway.

It's not going to get any worse, so if it won't come up you can just live with it until you're ready to sand it off and restain or take out a couple of boards and replace them. You might find that sanding very carefully removes the marker and the laquer but not the color, and maybe be able to just add some urethane to the spot to blend it in and protect it.

Whatever you do, remember that toddler blood is much harder to get out...(that's a sick joke)

  6. nail polish remover works great and wont hurt your finish.

  7. Isopropyl alcohol takes this right out most times. Especially if it's laminated hardwood.

    Otherwise try goo-b-gone.

  8. an eraser made of  recycled demim

    or

    magic sponge

    or

    hardwood cleaner

  9. Ya like the guy said above Mr. Clean magic eraser all the way

  10. have you tried alcohol? not the beverage alcohol but the other one. that usually works.

  11. Try nail polish remover. When I installed kitchen cabinet doors I marked the cut-lines with permanent Sharpie marker. The nail polish remover (I used wipes) took it off without ruining the wood finish.
