  1. I'm not sure what question you are asking, whether you can buy it for your own use, or if there are areas you can ski on it in the USA.  So, I'll answer both questions.

As of now, there are no snowsports areas in the USA with Snowflex.  The US Ski team has put it in on their ski jumps in Lake Placid.  There are a few areas planned, the biggest of which is the Bearfire Resort in Fort Worth, but they are still in fundraising mode.

The problem with Snowflex is its cost.  It costs about $50 a square foot, so covering a 1000 ft x 100 ft slope (which is not real big) would cost about $5 million and then you have to put in lifts, buildings, etc.  And, because it requires a misting system it's not practical to use on an existing slope at a traditional ski area because it's a bit fragile and you can't put a snowcat on it.

Snowflex is a viable skiing surface, but takes some getting used to.  It's kind of like skiing on ice in that it's hard to get a real good edge grip.  But, on the other hand, it's much slower than real snow.  It's a weird combination that takes some getting used to.  But, once used to it, it's a lot of fun.

I've skied on it in France and liked it once I got accustomed to it.  BTW, I am a PSIA Level III instructor and former pro racer.

    Good luck.

  2. Try contacting www.snowflexusa.com and the US sales agent Dieter Sturm.

  3. I've only read Snow Flex to be in Europe.
