Can i get sole custody of an unborn child?

i'm turning 17 years old and i'm almost 5 months pregnant and i need to know what i can do to get sole custody hes not bad like hurting or anything like that i just wanna to get just in case something does happen

  1. You'd have to prove that he's somehow an unfit parent...verbally/physically abusive toward you and/or the child...I would have to guess that it would be kinda hard to do seeing the child isn't born yet


  2. You really can't do anything till the child it born.  If you have no intentions of going after him for child support and he doesn't want to have anything to do with the child, you can just put father unknown on the birth certificate.

  3. what you mean like keep the dad away? is he abusive? dont keep the father out of the childs life unless there is a real valid reason. kids need a dad. a good dad. if his is a just a bum then it might be best.

    you could not put his name on the birth certificate. then he would have to prove paternity to get rights.

    Alright, hon, two months ago you called him "the love of your life" and you were planning on marrying him.  I have a feeling you're just pissed off and want to hurt him.

    Think about your child.  If it fair ti him/her?  Absolutely not.
