  1. I recommend you to select a hotel with canal view or sea view from san elena area. Most of hotels are nice other than crowed San marco areas hotels, you have to compare the hotel and the rate too. coz venice is bit costly destination, but Holiday is wonderful. if you need to relax place, go to lido, it is cool, and you can easily come to city center too. moving in and around is not a problem there

    have  a great trip there

  2. You may be able to find it here as it's got the widest varities at the best prices:

  3. I left Venice on 3/7.  What a beautiful city.  I can't recommend the Hotel Abbazia enough.  It is right around the corner from the train station.  If you take the water bus it is the Termini stop.  If you get off the train or the water bus walk towards the action.  I can't say left or right because I'm really bad at that and they are across the street from each other.  I believe it is the first alley you can take.  There should be no buildings across the street from the alley.  The sign is on the side of the building from the alley.  I know alley sounds bad, but Venice is made up of allies.  It's less than a block on a very well used alley.

The room was quite small, as in most European hotels, but it was very pretty.  It had a flat screen TV and a mini bar that you aren't charged for.  The front desk is wonderfully nice and speak multiple languages.  There is no elevator since this used to be an abby, but there is always a bell man there to carry your bags to your room.  The major perk for me was there was internet in the room.  But you have to ask for it.  It is supposed to cost 5 Euro, but they didn't charge me anything.  Oh, and the bathtub.  It was a little bit of heaven after having been travelling from NY for almost 12 hours (I won't even get into my layover delay!).  The breakfast was delicious.  Make sure you have one of the hot croissants filled with melty chocolate!

My husband ended up in the hospital the first two days we were there ; (  It would have been worse if the hotel staff was not so helpful.  The interpreted with the hospital staff, made calls when I didn't ask to check in on him and called me with update (there are no privacy rules there, Grazie Dios), gave me directions to the hospital, always asked how things were going.

I was in room 210 and didn't really have a view of the garden, but since there was nothing in bloom it didn't really matter.

I couldn't recommend this small hotel more!

  4. Hotel Galleria in the Dorsoduro.  Its on the Grand Canal - great location, nice but small rooms, good hosts.  Check out www.hotelgalleria.it

  5. There is a b&b called the Venice Resort. You can find it on the web or traveladvisor.com.  It's right outside of Venice though.  Anything in Venice you will find is very pricey.
