Can i get tv into my room?

ok so i dont have a satalite reciever in my room but i wish i could somehow watch tv on my comp is there any way to wirelessly stream live tv from another satalite reciever in my house to my computer so i can watch it. thanks

You should try out Internet TV! I have digital cable but totally stopped watching it once I found out about some of these sites. They allow you to watch tons of different episodes via the internet and are totally free!

First I suggest you try Joost. It requires you install some additional software. They have a huge selection of channels with on demand content for viewing.

My personal favorite however is Hulu. This website just left private beta a little while ago and allows you to watch television shows from Fox and NBC. They are also adding movies to the site. This one doesn't require you to install software it runs right in the browser!

Both of these play advertisements to cover the costs of providing you with the videos. However the ads are rather short and way shorter than the commercial breaks on TV.

Slingbox is also a great way to get your TV on your computer. These sites however are free!

slingbox is your friend...

i have the slingbox a/v with slingling turbo, connected to my directv satellite receiver in the living room and have it streamed to my desktop or laptop at home or at work 30 miles away. all free.. but you might have internet in your house..
