My boss has been diagnose with lung cancer and had a horrible attitude lately due to so. He threatned me to fire me but, yet there is no excuse for. Can a manager use the **** word to refer to anything to an employee?

  1. I'm not sure just what your additional sentences has to do with the question in the first, sentence, but....

It can be possible to collect unemployment if you get laid off or fired from a part time job, if your earnings are sufficient to be eligible.  You can apply and they'll tell you if you are eligible.  If you quit your job, you aren't eligible.

As far as a boss using profanity toward an employee, it might not be professional but isn't illegal.

Gee, I wonder what's causing his bad attitude lately?

  2. This varies by state and payrate.  For example, when I last checked (several years ago) New York paid if you work fewer than 4 days per week AND earn less per week than the maximum possible amount of weekly unemployment ($405 when I last checked, several years ago), but CT went by $ per week as a fraction of what you used to make when working full-time, and did not care how many days of the week were involved.
