  1. Well, I am a special education high school teacher.  I hate to tell you this BUT a learning disability does not necessarily qualify your for SSI.  There are special education teachers out there as part of any public school - high school included.  We do amazing jobs and as long as you are willing to give it your all, you can learn to read and not let your disability stand in  your way.  This is the one disability that does not need to hold you back.  The poor me won't work for too long.  Sooner or later, your education becomes your responsibility.  You have to learn to be your best advocate.  There are lots of strategies for you to work on to help you manage your stress.  Best of luck and hang in there!
