Can i give blood if i smoke cannabis?

Hi guys just wondering if i can give blood because i smoke cannabis, i mean dnt think im a bum who stays at home all day on the dole smoking i am a tutor and i have a spliff every night b4 bed maybe a little more some days but it is only to relax myself everyone i work with will go home and have 1 glass to halfd a bootle of wine after work but instead i choose a bifda, so i am well aware of the consequences but would i be turned away from giving blood.

Yes, absolutely. The red cross will NOT reject your blood for cannabis use!

Doubtful, especially if you lied on your donor questionnaire in the "Do you use illegal drugs?" question.

i do, and donate to the Red Cross as often as i can, because they harass me to come back. so if they were finding pot in my blood and didn't take it, they would not be calling me like they do. the need for blood is very high, and so am i.

:) - PS, i am not a bum either, i work full time in a very good career, a little smoke at night is not an issue for me.

According to Canadian Blood Services (where I live) you can still give blood if you smoke the stuff but they ask that you refrain for the 24 hours before you donate.

nah u can't donate blood.

Oh yeah and y don't u just say weed or pot or something like that. I've never heard any one say cannabis when talking about it casually like that.
