I have a 1 year old and i was drinking the sobe vitamin water um triple x. Its really good and she wanted some so i gave her a little bit in a sippy cup. Now she wants it all the time. I just want to make sure it is safe for her to have. It has lots of vitamins in it so i dont see why she cant have it. I called her dr and left him a message but he hasnt returned my call yet.

  1. It's just as bad as giving her sugary candy. It is packed with sugar. Give it to her once in a while, but not all the time. Mix it with water. 1/2 sugary juice , 1/2 water.

  2. Ehh, I would not.  Give her juice.  I guarantee it's the sugar she's after.

  3. The reason it tastes so good is that, in addition to all those vitamins, its covered in sugar.

They should call it vitamin sugar, not vitamin water.  Its not good for kiddo.

It won't hurt her in small amounts, but it does start her down the sugar path.  And to borrow a Star Wars reference, once she starts down that path forever will it dominate her destiny.

  4. I dont see why not, but I am not a doctor....

  5. my niece is five and she loves it too. i give it to her all the time when she comes over and the only thing to worry about i guess would be the sugar. it has thirteen grams but im sure shes fine. i mean it is waaaaaay better then sugary juice or soda so yeah, if youre worried thats all she might drink maybe mix it with a little water or something so she doesnt get too attached. my niece was in love with apple juice and she didnt notice when we put water in it. we finally got her out of it when we started putting more and more water and less juice each time. she never noticed and just stopped asking for the juice. hope i  helped :)

  6. it's fine as long as it isn't enhanced with caffeine

  7. Usually the "vitamin" and "energy" drinks that are not safe for children have a warning on them. I myself have never had one, but I would avoid it if it has a lot of caffiene, or some of the herbal pick me ups such as ginseng, guarana, etc.... Some parents stay away from high sugar content. Me personaly (I have five young children) I have found if it may be good for them and they like it.....by all means give it to them.

  8. Be careful.  Some of those drinks have caffeine, but it doesn't list it as caffeine because it's in a natural ingredient.  Also, the sugar thing and the vitamins they put in there.  That might be an overdose for a 1 yr. old.  One vitamin water I saw had a ton of postassium in it.  That could really do damage to her kidneys.  Don't buy it or hide it if she continues to ask for it.  She should really just be drinking 100% juice drinks at this age.  And usually they say not too much of that or watered down.

  9. sugar, sugar, sugar.

  10. First of all, the vitamins are for an adult dose, not a baby.  There are certain vitamins that are bad for kids to have in large quantities.

Second of all, look at the sugar content - it's ridiculous for even an adult.  Might as well give her a soda.
