  2. Don't use baby or human shampoo.

  3. yes!! mine totally loves it!! he's never as happy as he is when i have him in the bath tub swimming up and down! he drinks the bath water too!! :D I use human shampoo on him for coloured hair so its abit more gentle but i never use to much cos its prolly not that good for his skin, then i have to spend about 3 hours combing him and giving him a haircut, which he doesnt like so much :P he's got very long hair :P...be careful when you first give em a bath tho, if they get too scared just give up for the time being cos they might give themselves a heart attack, i had that before with a guinea pig and it was awful :(

  4. you can give your guinea pigs a bath, but just dont put the water on too loud if their in the tub and dont put the water on too deep, just enough for their heads to be out of the water.when your putting soap on them, dont rub hard or anything just do it calmly.

  5. Yes you can give them baths but try only to do it about 3 times a year otherwise it will remove important oils they need on there skin, Also NEVER use regular shampoo on them its not good for there skin and if it gets in there eyes it can blind them! Use a a guinea pig shampoo that you can find in any pet store or they have wet wipes also. Guinea pigs can swim but can be very scared of water so slowly introduce them to it also even using a guinea pig shampoo please make sure you rinse there eyes out with clean water not the bath water to make sure all dust and possible soap is removed from there eyes.

  6. Well a lot of people will tell you NO way! but thats not totally true. it really depends on your guinea pigs personality and temperment, I have 9 and all of mine loves it,  What i do is fill up my sink about an inch. I set my adult guinea pig in there, with a towel on the bottom, I get guinea pig shampoo and not HUMAN because their skin is very very sensitive. I then rub it on their feet, backs, and tummies (especially tummies) not faces or ears!!!!! and then rinse them off, and hand them off (it helps to have someone help you if you have more than one. Then make sure you have a towel ready and towel dry them, you can even blow dry them on a warm setting and not directly on them just over them..and it helps. not hot or cold though. go to google and try "batheing guinea pigs" it helps! Also do it about every three months and only if they need it...if your guinea pig is the nervous type, i would suggest not doing it at all. just get the leave in shampoo from the pet shop.

  7. Yes!

i had allot of giunea piggs in my life.

    they love it, for real.

  8. Yes actually you can I read in a Guinea Pig care book that you can give them a bath but only fill the water up to less than one inch and make sure that the water is luke warm about 80 degrees F and when you are done make sure to dry your guinea pig thoroughly before returning it to its cage or else it can get a cold or the flu. Make sure you don't use any soap or shampoo other than specified rodent shampoo which you can find at a local pet store. Only give bath every two or more weeks. Good luck!
