  1. Trust me, they're fine.  The calcium itself, if it's just the tiny beads - likely wouldn't even be looked at by a pigeon.  If you have a cuttle bone, though, and if you hooked it to the loft wall, the pigeons will pick at it over time.  As for the vitamins - simply up the dose a bit from what they list for parakeets.

If they're liquid vitamins, e.g., and it says to use 1 drop per gallon for the parakeet, then use about 3 drops/gal for the pigeons.  I've done it a lot of times over the years with no problems.

The pigeons would also appreciate the parakeet seed as a treat if you still have some left - remember, treat, not main course.

  2. yes if the old bird wasn't sick

  3. you have a pigeon cool

Yes, you can give him the vitamins.but they wont really

work because pigeons get their vitamins/calcium from

oyster shells.also the vitamins wouldn't be strong enough

for a bird the size of a pigeon.

  4. They vitamins and calcium are not in the forms that a pigeons needs. Pigeons get their calcium form oyster shell. The vitamins wouldn't be strong enough for a bird the size of a pigeon.
