  1. Don't ask Yahoo! Answers.  Call the vet and ask.  He's the expert.  Just call.  And also you should know that some rescue organizations, animal shelters, and even some affluent vets have funds for people in a situation just like yours.  Call around.  You may be able to get free care for your kitten.  You also could consider offering the vet to clean cages on a weekend in return for the care your kitten needs.

    Good luck.

  2. I think you dont have the recources you need to take care of a kitten. if you take it to the humane society or call animal control the cat will have a much better life and will get the immediate care it needs. Dont make this cat suffer just because you want something cute and cuddly. take it to a vets or one of the places i listed above and dont come back for it.

  3. It breaks my heart to read questions like this. Without checking with a veterinarian, or calling many of them, until one finds a vet that will work with them to save a possibly dying pet, and not doing everything possible to help a pet that looks to them for protection and care, just gets me so upset.

First of all, unless this is an orphan kitten or one that was born in your house, how in the world would you have a kitten so young? This little baby needs special feeding, nursing and all kinds of care.  Giving it medication that is not prescribed by a vet personally for the kitten is a terrible idea, even if the medication was totally fresh and unmixed.

You need to call every vet in your area to get some help with this baby. No one here can diagnose what is wrong with your kitten in the first place.

Money is really never the issue, as there credit care plans of which veterinarians are aware, that don't charge interest for the first year.

I hope you will take that necessary action, make your calls, and save this little one.

  4. The medicine is no longer good because it has been opened.  The date on the bottle refers to an unopened expiration date.  And even if it were still good, just a drop won't do anything.  A whole course of full dosing is needed, since its an antibiotic.

Call your vet and ask their advice.  Most vets will be willing to work out some sort of payment arrangements for an emergency.  Please, your kitten’s life depends on it.

  5. This is really pitiful.  Read "Troublesniffer" and get to it.

  6. First, you shouldn't have any of the Amoxi left.  always give all the medicine or you could have  a relapse of the infection. Second, the medicine is old and no longer any good.  Just throw it out. It's very inexpensive to get antibiotics at the vet so ask if they will accept payments or hold a check or something. Your kitten needs immediate vet care. If you can't give it to her, please turn her over to a shelter where she can get help.
