Question:

Can i glue this solar cell to anything?

It the small solar cell from radioshack

and i need it to be connected to something... can i glue it directly or should i connect it some other way... Thanks

  2. Solar cells get quite hot. You usually need a heat sink of some type or at the very least, the rear of the panel needs air circulation to allow cooling.

    I note these only produce 0.55v maximum. To do anything useful, you would need a few more. Generally, to produce a 12v (15v charge) panel would need about thirty.  This would produce about 4.5 Watts. There are cheaper panels available (and they are already constructed).

    Silver epoxy would be a suitable glue but might be a bit pricey. A mechanical clamp might be better. If you try to use a glue, consider the effect it will have on the heat conduction from the area where it will be glued.
