  1. You don't need a visa for Hong Kong if your from the US, UK and several other countries - you get 30 days visa free stay (90 for UK). For China you need a visa. You can a special one that only lets you into Shenzhen or a full one so to speak.

The visa requirements are also alot tighter now due to the Olympics. You need to provide proof of onward travel as well as details of your hotel in advance. No sure when, or if, these will be reflaxed again.

  2. If you need a visa to enter Hong Kong, you need to apply for separate visa from the China visa. Same wise if you are entering Macao if you need a visa to enter Macao. China visa is only applicable for entering Mainland China only and the most southern part you can go to in China near HK is Shenzhen on China Visa.

  3. No you cannot.Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China and has a separate form of government and visitors to HK are governed under the HK laws. For visa to HK see:http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.h...

  4. This kind of question should have been asked as soon as you get the visa. Why don't you ask the one who gave you the visa?

As long as I know, people with certain nationalities could stay in China less than 14 days without visa.

  5. i think can!! if you not sure you call visa the offical

  6. I believe you can. I am not entirely sure but when I went to Hong Kong, I only saw my parents holding one Visa for each member of my family.  And I believe those same passports were also used a year ago when we went to beijing.

ps. Is a Visa a stamp inside the passport? or is it a card thing?

  7. Depends on where you are from.  HK allows many Western countries up to 90 days without a visa.  Best to check with the government website for your specifics.

Also make sure if you first come into mainland, then go to HK, you have another entry on your visa, otherwise you won't get back in.
