  1. YOu could but Hawaii is salt water. It might give you bad pain

  2. If the wound is open - i.e. bleeding - then, no.  You should take care of that first :=)

But if the would is closed - i.e. not bleeding - and it will stay that way in water, then you have little risk.  You do not say what kind of would it is - a cut, abrasion, puncture, etc.

Clean the wound thorough with an antiseptic, apply a layer of antibiotic ointment to cover the whole wound, and bandage securely using materials that will not come off in the water.

  3. I live in Hawaii & i think theres not really much shark attacks now days.  But you should still be careful cause you may never know.  Why don't you just wait till it heals or something.  And don't swim really far away.

  4. That's a good question, which I honestly don't know the answer to.

If I had to guess, I would say that you shouldn't swim at dawn or dusk when sharks feed, and I would not go very deep.

If the waves are high, I would say that it could also injure your knee more.

Just be cautious and careful, good luck!
